Can I put thawed meals in the freezer again?Updated 2 months ago

Our meals are shipped frozen in an insulated box that contains cool packs or dry ice.
If the cool packs are thawed or the dry ice has evaporated upon arrival, that’s no problem.

What really matters is whether your meals are still sufficiently cold.
Here’s how you can quickly check at home to make sure everything is okay:

Quick at-home check

1. Cool packs / Dry ice – Have the cool packs thawed or the dry ice evaporated? No reason to worry!
This simply means the cooling elements did their job. It doesn't necessarily mean the meals got too warm.

2. Sauce cubes – Are the sauce cubes slightly soft? Totally normal!

Sauces often contain salt or oil, which causes them to thaw a bit faster.

3. Vegetables – Are the vegetables still frozen? Perfect!

If the vegetables still feel frozen and move freely when you shake the package, everything is in great shape! In that case, you can simply put the meals back in the freezer or prepare them directly.

My meal is partially thawed
If you notice some clumping and ingredients sticking together, your meal has partially thawed.
In this condition, the meals can still be safely stored in the fridge for 2 days at 3–7 °C without losing taste or quality.

My meal is fully thawed
If a meal is no longer cold and nothing feels frozen, we recommend not consuming or refreezing it. This could affect taste and nutritional value.

If your meals are partially or fully thawed:
That shouldn’t happen, of course!
